I have researched for an extensive amount of time, and most of the information I am getting is outdated. So currently I am dating a Korean man and we plan to get married in 2 years. I will apply for him to get PR after marriage. He is right now getting his masters in embryology. My question is how useful will his degree be in Canada? I will have a enough money saved up in Korea to survive for a while and he will gain about 2 to 3 years of experience doing AI in Korea. I am just worried that he worked hard for his degree and it's pretty much useless in Canada.

IF he is going to continue in research then there may be options as a post grad (PhD) student or research assistant in uni-based research projects. It will depend a lot on his graduate research / thesis and publication(s) / presentations.

If he is just doing a "coursework" Master's then chances are slim to none that he will stay in his field.

He will be hard pressed to stay in his field outside of academia without a PhD or additional academic work in North America (their ethnocentrism is sometimes appalling).

His linguistic skills will also be an issue (we're not talking basic conversational skills anymore). IF his (English) writing skills are not up to the task (without your help as an editor) then that may kill his chances as fast as anything.
