Stop making this guy out to be some kind of astute social commentator. He is quite simply a racist little *beep* who has never grown the balls required to live in a place that challenges his way of thinking.
All he does is insult an entire nation of people in the most base and witless manner, which is apparently seen as cutting-edge humour. |
Many waygooks (like many you see here on Dave's) are just bitter, negative people in general. Moving to Korea wasn't going to change that.
They basically can't take responsibility for their lives or how they react to what goes on around them, so they blame it on outside forces.
Pretty sad actually. |

I don't enjoy his writing at all... but those pics are telling (minus the one from India).
There's a problem with trash here. It's better than some places, but worse than others. Lot's of room for improvement. |

He seems to have hit a nerve with you. Is it your thinking that's being challenged?
No, there's nothing cutting edge--that's hyundai to you--about his posts. But that last one regarding the trash and slums was on the mark.
And the fixation with defecation is strange, no matter how you slice it. |

Racism always hits a nerve. I'm not disputing some of the criticisms but he presents his arguments in a juvenile and insulting way. Some people seem to find his writings amusing, but imagine the furore if a white expat in an African nation said these things. ] |

So if what's he's posting is true, as you admit, then how is it racist?
The method of expression is demeaning, I'll grant you that, but the editorial pages in the local newsrags exhorting Koreans to do the right thing ain't cutting the mustard.
A recent report on the current state of ferries showed the safety video played at too low a volume for anyone to hear, lest some sleeping passengers be disturbed, three emergency exits being blocked by sleeping passengers, the life jacket lockers full of trash and the life jackets covered in dust and men smoking in the restrooms. The passenger list, however, was in order.
So maybe a few salvos across the bow is exactly what is needed.
Truth telling is in short supply on the peninsula, and that's what the Klown blogger is all about. |

I wouldn't call him a racist, but rather a bigot. People often use racist liberally when "race" refers to the biological characteristics of a person. You can have different ethnicities under a race. For example, Korean, Chinese, and Japanese people are all of the Mongoloid race. The author is not insulting the Mongoloid race, but rather Korean people. Korean is an ethnicity, not a race. Therefore, technically, he isn't being racist. |

It is possible to analyze and comment on the state of a nation without resorting to vile slurs. Korea clearly does have a myriad of problems it needs to deal with, but there is no need to demean a nation of people like that. Some people have adopted the oh-so-witty moniker "Klown", without realizing how juvenile that sounds. Well done, boys. |

These same people are the ones that protest the loudest about Korea's bigotry and intolerance and how such things are unacceptable in the developed world and would never be tolerated back home where they grew up. Unless you enjoy this site as some sort of EXTREME black comedy (and thus would support a version bashing NETs- equal opportunity hate), you're being a terrible hypocrite by supporting this site.
As for the trash, I wonder how many people out there who complain about Korea's streets have a pizza box and soju bottle strewn apartment. Not all as EVERYONE who is clean will have issue with Korea's streets, but I bet some out there who think they're messy have a pretty filthy hovel they call their home. |

You continue to sink to new depths in your attempts to excuse Korean behavior. You now accuse, with absolutely no evidence except perhaps your own housekeeping habits, anyone who complains about the litter in Korea of living in a filthy apartment.
Herr Goebbels, you have outdone yourself. Expect the Fuhrer to congratulate you personally. |

May I ask you atwood, what the definition of "not all" and "some" is? May I also ask you the definition of "anyone"? |

Semantics--you can hide but you can't run, herr g.
Some could be 99%. Anything less than all is some.
You made the accusation. Back it up or withdraw it, little g. |

Did you learn the difference between "a few" "some" and "many" in 1st grade? Or are you too stupid to recognize the difference? |

Still hiding, little buddy. Support your accusation or retract it.
That's an ESL lesson, dude, not something native speakers study. BTW, some is defined as any unspecified amount in the dictionary, not that facts mean anything to you.
Be a man. Didn't you ever learn what that means?

And I'm sure you have ample proof of this, and aren't just making things up in a childish attempt to demonize everyone who has a complaint about Korea. No, you would never do that. So let's see the proof. Thanks in advance!
To the trash point you are desperately trying to make (and failing), you seem to be completely missing the point again (probably on purpose). You keep public places clean because we share those places. What you do in your home is your business. "The people who complain about farting on crowded public buses are the same people who fart alone in their empty apartments!" Yeah...that's the point smart guy. |
