I've been in my neighborhood a little over a year and have seen between 10-20 older 2 story residential buildings get torn down and replaced with higher density 4-7 story buildings.

Not much else aside from the regular parade of restaurants going out of business and others moving in to end up doing the same.

That's too bad.

Korea has a tourist gem, allowing to go to waste.

I suppose that is one difference between Thailand and Korea.

I am all about campfires (perhaps not in the summer, though), meat burning on a grill, a fishing pole and a pop-up tent.

A new Pizza Hut is opening down the street! I'm so excited to eat overpriced sweet potato pizza!

We got one of those foreign food snack shops. I stopped in one day while on my way to the movies in search of a tasty treat. They had twizzlers, which made my movie going experience awesome (twizzlers are pretty much a staple candy for any US movie theater, or at least they used to be).

They've also recently demolished an entire older neighborhood so I can only imagine that high rise apartments are going there now.

Just the typical--old businesses leaving, their former storefronts being gutted and refurbishing started. Holes being dug in the road and Korean dudes standing around and staring down into them.

The paved walkway near here that stretches for a km or so between apartment complexes, schools, and the like was completely torn up to be replaced for no good reason. I guess they couldn't dig it up and re-brick it in sections to keep the disruption to foot and bike traffic to a minimum.

And it's rumored that the building I'm currently living in is to be torn down. I was told two weeks ago they'd let us know if and when it was happening at the end of last week. No word yet.

The McDonald's lunch special is still the best deal in Korea.

Same ol', same ol'.

My neighborhood just got some kind of strange new US style strip club. Instead of everyone watching and tipping, you get one girl for 3 songs, fully nude by the end in a private room, and you get to choose 4 different ones within an hour. You have to buy a $200 bottle of vodka for the hour as well.
NO, it is not a room salon. Completely the opposite

You need to study up: http://nutrition.mcdonalds.com/getnutrition/nutritionfacts.pdf

Of course, I advise avoiding the extra sugar and ordering a Coke Zero. Very Happy

How is a strip club the complete opposite of a room salon? Wouldn't something like a Sunday school class by its complete opposite?

So in other words it's not the complete opposite of a room salon.

I believe I shat all over the idiocy contained in your post(s).

My neighborhood got a new phone shop. Before this, it was a coffee shop. And before the coffee shop, it was a phone shop.

I went to have my old phone of 3 years upgraded last week, at the same shop where I had purchased the old phone. However, the phone shop is now a hair shop. The phone shop was there a couple of weeks ago.

I'm thinking to meet my friend at the coffee shop before I go to the hair shop and later I will shop for a new phone at the new phone shop.

A strip club and a church each expects you to give them at least 10% of your salary and you don't even get laid! In a room salon, you pay, they lay.

I believe (pun intended) more than a few women parishioners have lain with their pastors. The spirit moves in mysterious ways.
