Let's get back on the topic of Korea. Did you read about the guy who killed 5 people a few days ago, in Korea? He was working for the government and carrying a gun. Yep, it happened in Korea. Why are you always posting things that happen in other countries when the same type things happen in Korea? Hey guy, are you blind? Do you have something against people who aren't Korean or living in Korea? What's up Bub? |

That's why I posted it in the CE Forum. It's where we go to talk about back home.
And notice I in no way, shape, or form suggested that this was unique to America or that American culture or the American people were to blame. I didn't generalize about the American people, and I even put a qualifier in about how cops make mistakes. I cited a specific trend. I didn't even use the word American or refer to Americans as 'Yankees' or cops as 'pigs' or blame it on 'typical American thinking'. I cited a specific incident and problem. And I didn't say "But this doesn't happen over in Korea".
But by all means we can talk about the militarization of the police in other countries as part of a broader trend. I think its perfectly relevant. If we want to cite some militarization of the police in Korea, then go ahead. Certainly if someone wants to bring up police brutality in England or somewhere else, that's fine as well. |

he was a military soldier who was constantly harassed and berated by his lower ranking personnel. he flipped and shot up members of his platoon.
it has NOTHING to do with lobbing a grenade into a baby carriage.
