I am a korean American born and raised in the states. I'm looking to teach in a private school/hagwon and I have been having much trouble finding a recruiter that has jobs for Gyopos/Korean Americans.
I've already applied to many places and sent my resume many places but have gotten back emails saying there are no jobs for me since I'm gyopo. I also have all documents ready.
Are there any recruiters that have more jobs?? It's really frustrating and I'm not able to get my F-4 since I'm in the states. I have to apply for E-2.
I'm getting desperate to find a job.
I do speak and understand korean decently |

Is that a problem in applying for jobs if you don't have the F4 already at the time of applying? Can't they understand that you will have the F4 visa once you get there?
Did you know that there are jobs that are advertised towards gyopos. Search "gyopo" on Korean job board. |

| Just a note about the F4, you should be able to get it in the states. I know at the very least the New York Korean Consulate does it. Just make sure to have everything prepared. |

| How long does it take to get the F4 from the US? I heard it is a much more complicated process than getting it in Korea which takes 30 minutes. |

| Try Korvia. I'm a gyopo and have met a lot of other gyopos that went through them here that got positions. You just got to sell yourself. If you are a bad candidate, then they won't be able to give you much help. If you are qualified however, it'll be a lot easier. |

What would be an example of a bad candidate and a qualified one? |

I got an F4 visa at the local Korean consulate in Washington D.C.. I live in the states currently.
The best advice I can give: have someone fluent in Korean call the local Korean consulate and ask them how to do it, because the procedure may be different based on whether you're adopted, have a Korean parent with a Korean passport, or a Korean parent with a US passport. |

I know the Job Search process can be overwhelming. Try taking it one step at a time. Focus on finishing one step at a time. There are numerous examples online that could give you some guidance for your resume and cover letters. |
