I am wondering if anyone knows where of if there are any indoor swimming pools (for doing laps) in Gapyeong? or anywhere around there?
I am also looking for public tennis courts in Gapyeong...
I have seen both in the bigger cities, but I am very curious if there are any in Gapyeong or in the area?
Any info would be of great help. Thanks for your time... |

No swimming pools in Gapyeong. You would have to go to Chuncheon or the other direction to Seoul for that.
Plenty of open air tennis courts though, up by the stadium. They just added a number of courts in the new outdoor sports complex they built a few years ago. |

Thanks tob55 ) By any chance do you know the name of the stadium or the outdoor sports complex?
In terms of the swimming pool, I'll search in Chuncheon then..thanks so much |

Guess with this weather it's no coincidence there have been a few swimming inquiries the last couple weeks.
There is SOMETHING 3 or 4 km outside of Gapyeong-si. It is 'A' on the map here.
If you look on the satellite view, it's definitely a large outdoor pool, but there's a chance it isn't public. The last bit of the Korean says it is a training facility?
Also on that map if you zoom in enough, I've toggled 'on' Sports Facilities, from the Naver Maps interest options (the bus icon at the top left of the map).
There's a chance one of the 체육관s might have a swimming pool, but usually they appear on a 수영장 search.
Best of luck. |
