I'm finishing at my hagwon in 2 months and would like to go home for a month then come back and then start a job in another city.
Do you need to go through the lengthy document collection process again to work at another academy?

You need to switch to a D-10 (looking for work visa). That will allow you 6 months to look for another job without having to collect new documents. You can also leave the country and come back. |

The problem with that is that my flight has already been booked one day after i finish my contract. So I can't stay in korea for D10 processing.
Is it possible to get some kind of visa extension if i get a new job lined up before I leave?? |

You might can get an extension. Try for the D10 anyway and explain you situation to the immigration officer. When I did mine, they just wrote D10 on the back of my ARC and updated their computer that I was on a D10 now. |
