I think the Max CZECH Special Hops is the best tasting new Korean beer out of all the new beers that have come out this year. The price is good as well.

Golden lager ob and dry finish are the best korean beers. However next to asahi and real lager these korean beers taste like piss!

I have to disagree with you on the Dry Finish. That has to be the worst in my opinion. OB is okay, but too carbonated for me.

Hite Jinro's Queens Ale Blonde or Extra Bitter
OB's Alestown brown or black
Lotte's Cloud

Much better than any of the one's mentioned above but they are generally harder to find

There is no such thing as good Asian beer. Germany and the Czech Republic should be in charge of global beer production, because they have that game won already.

I agree with your statement about Asian beer....your second part about Germany and Czech is laughable though. Only someone with very very very little knowledge of beer would say such a thing.

I don't know much about beer other than what tastes good to me. Try leaving a helpful comment about good beer, rather than just trying to ridicule me. Give some examples and recommendations that help people.

I find the no-name German or Belgian beers that they sell in E-Mart to be the best. There are some no-namers in GS25 too. GS25 offers a better selection than most bars.

I like the Queens Ale Bitter and the Aleston Black. Not a fan of the other flavors. I'm too scared to try Lotte Cloud because it is too cheap.

It depends what type of beer you prefer. If you prefer pilsner then german and czech beers are decent. If you prefer IPAs then the best tend to come from the UK and the USA. If you prefer fancier beers then Belgium is top of the tree. But the fact there are so many microbreweries all around the world show that any country can produce some great beers. Bill's Pale Ale is made in Korea, and while it's not the best beer in the world, it is a great drink. The beer market has exploded recently and it's mostly originated from the USA. They started making modern beers which were based on classics. Nowadays the craft beer market has taken off all over the world. When I was in Tokyo I went to some craft beer bars and the beer was great.
There are decent beers in Korea, but you won't usually find them in the local GS25.

Used to like some of those Belgium beers. High alc. content, more expensive, but 3 or 4 of those was like more than a bottle of wine. On the other hand a couple of ones from Denmark were not good, like one called FAXE. High alc. content, bad taste. Guess those Trappist Monks from Belgium had a clue.

Korea doesn't have any good commercially sold beers. End of story.

Luckily brew pubs have started popping up outside of Itaewon. H
