I just spent an hour or so translating the menus so I could attempt to register and order a Cintiq Companion. At the final page of registration, after I'd entered my address, etc.
I get this:
고객명을 정확히 입력하여 주세요
Which I understand to mean, please check that your name is spelled correctly. Which I did, but it won't accept that and won't allow me to change it either.
So... retarded... not functioning as it should... overly complicated and goofy.
It leads me to believe that even though I declared myself a foreigner while registering for the account (why I had to...?) the website will not accept English names? Even though that's what appears on my bank account.
Hmmmm...

Maybe don't put any spaces in your name.

Yeah, I emailed them. In the past they've been good about getting back to me when I asked why the Companion was so expensive here. I checked today and it was on sale... almost normal price... lol. So, just frustrated that I couldn't get the process started immediately as the 256gb is already out of stock now that they've dropped the price.
I tried a couple times, I'm pretty sure I put my name in at least once without spaces.
Oh well, I'll call tomorrow. Still, a terrible website. I would've bought one on Gmarket in 10 minutes... why does the Wacom site have to be soooo complicated. |

This is a slight de-rail of thread, but a bump, I'm curious...
What would such a tablet best be used for? Why do you want or
need one? I'm only curious because a quick google search and
immediate link described the C.C., but not it's intended purpose
all that well or 'aimed' market.
The reason I'm asking is I'm hoping to reconstruct battlefield locations,
routes, positions, etc. of various sites in Korea from Imjin Waeran
to Korean War for lecture/publication purposes. This just might be
ideal for me. If it provides tools and applications to create animation like
say a proper documentary, then I'm sold. I'd appreciate your input for this inept poster!
This is mostly aimed at Cpt. Corea and Chaz and anyone else with
practical knowledge. |

I'm perfectly chilled, thanks. Actually, you'll notice I didn't express an opinion on the matter, so it would be assumptive to say I'm being PC.
But, since you asked, unless the OP is a hormonal, knowsnobetter teenager, surely there are many better and less moronic words that can be used. It's not even about being PC, although I'm sure some would be offended (not me). Most of us are apparently English teachers, after all.
It's just something that winds me up a bit, but my objection has nothing to do with the PC brigade. I get annoyed by unnecessary PC-ness as much as anyone. |
