Will future employers be legally obliged to provide bigger chairs, wider doorways, more fridge space etc...?
On the bright side, at least Western companies won't have to worry about fulfilling any PC employment quotas. 20% of their workforce will become disabled overnight.

Ah, first world problems. So... they overeat until they are dysfunctional, then try to get money for it? What a scam!
It's an insult to actual disabled people as well. |

this is incredibly annoying. they should get taxed for greater consumption like a fuel tax for automobiles that consume more gas than they should, not get any perks or pardons. |

Yes but... You know the arguments. Should a guy who plays rugby regularly get special treatment when he breaks something? He's also disabled directly due to his lifestyle choice. |

For most of them, the classification 'LAZY' would be much more appropriate.
Classifying them 'disabled' is an insult to actual disabled people. |

Glenn Hayes, an employment partner at the UK law firm Irwin Mitchell, said: "This could mean that employers could find themselves under a legal obligation to make adjustments such as providing car park spaces close to the workplace entrance for obese employees, providing special desks, or providing duties which involve reduced walking or travelling, or possibly even ensuring that healthy meal options are provided at their staff canteen." |
The idea of the government mandating that employers insulate their obese employees from exercise is perverse. I appreciate the compassion at work here, but were this implemented it would seem more like a case of killing with kindness. If anything citizens in general, and the obese in particular, need more time on their feet, not less. |

I can pretty much predict that most obese people wont receive benefits for being in such a condition. Having worked in the befits section for a while, I can honestly say its criminal how things are calculated.
There are a lot of (much too many) disabled people who dont get anything despite their physical or mental state.
The government are greedy swine hunds. |

rofl, tell me another story there sir.
People that are too fat to work in the US/Canada are already getting these types of benefits. They can already claim disability in many cases and many try to sue (and often win settlements from) their employers for a variety of reasons related to their 'condition'. fucking please
Tell me another one please. |

What we need is a good apocalypse and a big fat world war to wipe out these obese wastes of flesh. Let them starve for awhile, teach em a lesson. |
