Do you think that black people are more prone to violence than other races? Videos like these would suggest so. Hopefully the more egregious examples on these vids were prosecuted and taken off the street. These pranksters are doing a public service.

Seems like there's a lot of black people with anger management issues out there. Obviously violence wasn't the answer in any of those scenarios but I don't get why the guy getting hit kept saying it was 'a prank' as if that made any difference.

Those weren't pranks, they were insults.

Maybe it is a WASP concept that if you tease someone -a complete stranger out of nowhere- that they are supposed to enjoy it, I dunno. That idea does not translate to many other cultures.

Could be.. doing dumb things at the expense of others for kicks and props may be an American concept. These guys aren't white though.

Not sure how much of the reaction is a black thing either.. I'd expect similar results doing pranks on shady people in crime-ridden neighborhoods anywhere.

Lots of people are going over the top calling these videos racist.. I don't get that. Bad people in bad neighborhoods are prone to violence. What's new?

You walk into a really poor/dangerous part of the city and snatch someones phone.....or you "disrespect" someone in front of their boys....you're going to get your ass beat more often than not. Of course these are the clips they used...I'm sure there were dozens of other times where they got no reaction. Point is, don't poke a tiger and then complain about getting bitten.

Plus. These weren't "pranks." They knew what to do/say to get a reaction out of these people, hence why they were filming where they will filming. They only started running and screaming, "It's a PRANK! We're being filmed!" As they were hoping that being on camera would stop the dude from stabbing/shooting or beating them unconscious.

I'm not justifying the violence, but that is exactly what those morons were looking for.

I seriously wonder if some of these are works or the people who do this are paid serious money/drugs.

What were they trying to achieve exactly? I don't get it.

Footage for a tv show?

My sentiments exactly.

My guess is that they sat around trying to think of something that would set themselves apart from the Jackass/prank type shows, and this is what they came up with. The title of this thread would be the perfect title for their show.

I wonder how much they paid those random strangers to do this. I'm sorry but if you fart in someone's face in the hood, it's murder time. Hell, I think you might end up in the hospital even if you did it outside the hood. The idea for this fiction was lifted from Kentucky Fried Movie's daredevil bit.

My guess is that it is to promote their youtube channel or something? Hits/views= money.

It's due to the redneck culture that blacks inherited from Southern whites. People in the South came from the most uncivilized parts of Great Britain. Southerners were less educated, lazier, and more prone to crime and violence. Duels were a socially acceptable way to resolve disputes. The consequences of disrespecting (dissing) someone could be lethal. Vigilante justice was very common. Prior to the Civil War, most lynching victims were white. What is called Ebonics is very similar to the way English was spoken in the least civilized parts of Great Britain a few hundred years ago. Nowadays, Southern whites have largely abandoned this culture, but it lives on in poor black communities.

"Violence was far more common in the South — and in those parts of Britain from which Southerners came. So was illegitimacy, lively music and dance, and a style of religious oratory marked by strident rhetoric, unbridled emotions, and flamboyant imagery. All of this would become part of the cultural legacy of blacks, who lived for centuries in the midst of the redneck culture of the South.

"That culture was as notable for what it did not have as for what it had. It did not emphasize education, for example, or intellectual interests in general."
