This summer, the Camarata Music Company (CMC) Chorale invites both veteran and aspiring singers to perform in its annual pops concert! No formal singing experience is necessary. The only requirements are the willingness to work hard and the ability to hold a decent pitch. Composed of popular music from the 20th and 21st centuries, this concert is bound to be one of the CMC’s most enjoyable shows in 2014. What’s more, it’s the perfect opportunity for amateur vocalists to have fun while developing their lyrical technique. We at the CMC love all our members, whether they’re shower singers or music majors, and we keep a friendly atmosphere so that everyone has a great time making music together!

Time: First-time members of the CMC are requested to show up at 3:00 pm on Sunday, August 3, so that they can be placed in the proper section. Returning members may instead come at 3:45. In general, regular rehearsals will be held from 3:00-7:00 pm on Sundays, although the times for intensive rehearsals and the dress rehearsal may vary. The concert itself will be held on Saturday evening, September 13.

Place: Unless otherwise stated, all rehearsals will take place at the Camarata studio near Itaewon. To get to the studio, walk straight out of Noksapyeong station, exit 2, for about ten minutes. At the bottom of the hill, continue onto the left side street past the kimchi pots on the left. You will pass Bonny’s Pizza and Jacoby’s Burger before you get to the Camarata studio, which is on the left by the CU.

Following the pops concert, the CMC Chorale will begin preparations for its annual production of Handel’s Messiah around Christmas time. We would love to have all our pops singers involved in that as well!

If you have questions or are interested in joining the CMC Chorale, please contact us by emailing info (at) camaratamusic (dot) com. We look forward to hearing from you!
