LOL. This never happened.

Nope, it happened.

No, it didn't. You are just bored and making things up to get a response. That's fine.

Korea isn't 'hell' either. It has modern infrastructure, good healthcare, a reasonable income per capita, some pleasant scenery and so on. What ruins it is the selfish ultra-competitive nature of the people who live here. In their obsessive pursuit of status and wealth, too many Koreans seem to have forgotten what it means to be human.
They show each other and their environment zero respect unless there is direct personal benefit. This makes me sad because not everyone wants to be this way, but the pressure of conformity is enormous.

Maybe you are projecting.

It happened.

Obviously. I think it's more of a fun way of expressing things. Both my friend and the article used this same language of "hell" and "paradise".

Westerners get way too logical, argumentative, and miss the point of everything...

Maybe I'm keeping it real. Breaking up the monotony is encouraged. Doing so by making up things to fit a narrative is one way of doing it. I get you. Your game is obvious. No problem.

Nope, more like early 40s. Koreans party deep into adulthood.

Great. There's nothing wrong with enjoying yourself. But the way Koreans "party" is always the same and, frankly, bores me silly.

Who wants to sit around on the floor eating greasy pork fat slices and drinking soju every night... that's not exciting to me.

Living in Korea is now more manageable than ever before due to the rise of low-cost airlines. I flew to Bangkok for just over 320,000 won with Jeju Air.
I can be here around 9-10 months per year maximum - by which point I start losing my shit. I am fortunate enough to have enough free time per year to GTFO and see the outside world with normal people for a couple of months. Without that, I would probably be a degenerate alcoholic.

That's why I left buddy. But essentially the fact remains uncontested that Korea is only exciting if you enjoy the limited range of options Korea excels at i.e. cheap booze, prostitutes, shopping and pig fat.

Don't they? Well then why are you spouting the old "exciting hell" trope on this board if you don't care? When someone refutes your claim you lose interest in the topic?

Relaying a fun story, there is no "claim".

Enjoy your Sunday...Mr. hyper-argumenative micro-analytical douche. Laughing
