hehe ok man. off topic (kinda) but here are some hihglights.
-saw a nice old man (suspected of stealing meat) "swaying" over the meat counter. He didnt pocket anything and walked away. i thought all was cool till I noticed the little yellow puddle he left behind
-Was watching another man with what I thought was a can of beans down his pants. Turned out he took a dump and was just trying to shake it out of his pant leg.
-Saw a nice Asian woman who was very intent on getting the best corn (it was a great sale). Well her kid needed to go potty so right there (next to the corn) she pulled down his pants, let him do his Biz in a produce baggy, proceed to tie it up.. and kept at the corn.
-there were some hookers turning tricks behind the store near our generator. they even set up beds. We thought we'd drive them out by pouring all the slop from the meat Dept. grease trap over their stuff. Anyone who's smelled a grease trap KNOWS its nasty. Anyways the next day we were spying out to see if it worked... and it did. ONLY it attracted two more of them! WTF
*** this ones the best...
-I was walking out to my car after a shift (maybe dust.. 7:00?) and remember this is a very public place. Kids and shoppers everywhere. Anyways, I'm walking to my car and I hear this hissing. I'm looking around thinking maybe it's a tire or something. Then i make out two figures off to the side. There is a woman squating and pissing while releiving her male customer. Usually I call the cops on them.. that time I just shook my head and drove home.
I have more but most of them are about me and shoplifters |

So this justifies your assault that could result in your arrest and deportation?

It is unfortunate that you have reduced yourself to spouting off racist statements as a means of justification for your actions. |

kiwiboy is smart enough to read things on his own. If you just say, "this last post made by itaewonguy cracked me up real good" (which happens to be terrible grammar), kiwiboy would understand your feelings. |
kiwiboy, that post in question made by itaewonguy cracked me up real good.

From my experience shopping in Korea, a staff member comes to close the line when there are only a few customers in the line and divert approaching customers to the new lines. I think I've had the same experience as osangairl, but I only waited in line for a couple of minutes, so it wasn't so bad.
Now let me vent. I hate shopping in Korea. Why does it take a family of 5 to do the shopping. You've got 8 year old Min-sook pushing the cart ramming it into others, while mr Kim in the other isle thinks he can park his cart anywhere, and while you move it for him you can see the ire in his eye. University students who are there buying beer, sojo and snacks look as disorganized a group of chimps trying to wait for a bus. These guys are all over the place while getting in every one's way.
Why is it that most customers do not have their money out in preparation to pay. It's a normal chain of events! There's no surprise here people. You shop, You pay. It's that simple. When the cashier announces the total, these customers suddenly wake up to the conclusion that they have to pay. Get with it people. I have never been to a country where the line ups take so long, and it's onlybecasue people think they are the only ones that exist. |

Tossing your basket at the cashier only proved that you can lose control....well done.
A better course of action would have been to ask to see the manager....
The cashier should have notified the customers of course but it was the managers problem.
As for this "never" happening back home, I suggest you look harder next time you go home.
Finally, this thread generated a rather disturbing wave of racial slurs and demeaning comments concerning Koreans. It really had the bigots coming out of the woodwork.
A sad display. |
Homer, I've often wondered why you spend so much of your time and emotional energy trying to set people straight on this forum. You're talking to people who will never come around to a more sensitive point of view and will just keep saying the same insulting things about Korea and Koreans.
I think you're banging your head against a wall. Why do you care? |

Here is the thing Homer, do you even know her? Like all of us here on this forum, she probably respects and appreciates this country 99% of the time.
There are times that we can't take it. We see things that we can't handle and we blow. Sometimes we've had enough and this stuff happens. This forum is one way of dealing with our frustrations.
Here is another thing: What gives you the right to call people bigots? You all don't know these people well enough to call them something like that. To say something like that, you should know the person, in person. What people post on forums does not make people bigots. In fact, it is healthy because it lets people vent their frustrations.
Why do you have to be so confrontational and one-sided? Your opinons are respected but calling people bigots is going too far. |

So when someone makes a horrible mistake but then comes here to brag about it, we should not take a stand and say what they did was wrong simply because it might hurt their feelings?

I'm going to have to disagree here. When a person starts posting up notes that say racist or bigotted things they believe in, that makes them a racist or a bigot.
We only have to look at osangrl's last post in which she claims that Koreans are unable to engage in a civil conversation thus her violent attack on the clerk was justified and warranted. We can't really file that under anything else but racist and/or bigotted. |
