I checked the math, that's what I did. Hopefully everyone sees that.
This seems like a weird conversation. |

It is a weird conversation. One that spiraled into talks of doing drugs, no less. That is weird. Who brought that up, btw? |

Do you normally calc CAGR while on drugs? |

1) While I am not an English teacher, virtually everyone from the West living and working in Korea that isn't Korean ends up teaching English in one way or another, which is why I feel comfortable posting on this discussion board.
2) My original CAGR calculation is correct.
Here is the calc
(457,517/831,182)^(1/19)-1=-0.030934313
For simplicity I rounded up to -3.1% |

Oh, you have population numbers out to whole numbers, I used the rounded figures in your original post.
Thanks for clarifying, when English teachers post math I just assume they are wrong, but clearly you are not an English teacher. |

I wouldn't laugh if I were an English teacher who had selected a rapidly shrinking market. |

Globally, it is very much an expanding market. |

That makes sense.
If I were an English teacher I'd move to an expanding market, start a bunch of schools, and get filthy rich. |

Does anyone know what country would let a foreigner legally start a school (without a huge sum of money to put down for an investor's visa)? I don't think China fits that bill. |
