I just arrived in Jeonju, SK to teach for a year and was wondering if anyone knew of a place to buy a carbon monoxide detector. I wasn't sure if Home Plus, E-Mart, or Lotte Mart would have them or if Seoul would be my better bet in trying to find one. Please and thank you!! |

If you dont manage to find any, as a rule of thumb, turn your gas off at the pipe (near your cooker) when youre not using it. The gas people come round pretty regularly to check for leaks.
And dont smoke - that will help keep carbon monoxide at a safe level. |

CO is a Western myth. However most pet stores sell canaries or other small birds if you need reassurance. |

Not here. I have one. But my mom bought me one at Wal Mart a few years ago. It's a combo fire alarm and Carbon Monoxide detector. Ask your family to ship you one over. I got this mega package once with it along with western style cotton bed sheets at the time. I was pleased as punch. Check G market and Amazon Global. Don't expect Korean stores to be as sophisticated as back home in terms of the products sold and that you can expect to buy here. |
