eat spicy food or use chopsticks well? How about if you don't particularly like K-pop or any pop music for that matter?

1. I survived korea quite fine and I hate k-pop.
2. Korean food isn't even particularly spicy, contrary to what so many Koreans believe.
3. Practice makes perfect, at least when it comes to chopstick proficency.

Tell that to a South African. Ha ha.

Most I've met always say: "I kawn't eat spawcy food."

I've only met a couple who could and that was after a few years here and conditioning themselves.

But, us Canadians and Americans can lap that sh!t up pretty good. Guess, it's the Mexican, Thai, etc influences. Also, I think Koreans have toned down the spicyness compared to the Korean war days. Was prob different back then as our grandparents ate meat and potatoes and couldn't handle the food here. (Food didn't really change in the west until my parents generation - baby boomers- embraced "ethnic foods" like Chinese, Pizza, etc. Then, we embraced Thai, Indian, and others to be adventurous after that I guess.

But did have some Koreans say me during my first couple of years: "Wow, you eat ramien? Isn't it too spicy for you?" (At least that's what I think they were saying based on my Korean understanding at the time.)

Korean food = not spicy

I have no idea where this notion that Korean food is spicy came from
