I'm Saying goodbye to Korea after many years.
I will be leaving for good next week.
I have reference letters from all my employers BUT I just noticed that none of the letters specify the time period that I worked for them from. On my resume I have their reference contact info. so I don't think it should be a problem. My next stop is mainland China to teach and the 2 year working experience rule (it seems that it may now be 5 years for Beijing) is a concern for me. Yes I could ask my former bosses for a new reference letter specifying the dates but that seems awkard and they may be suspicious.
Any insight (especially from those who have taught in Korea and then in China after) is most appreciated.
Thanks in advance. |

There's another document you can get from your school's 행정실 (administration office). All employees who ask for it have a right to get it.
Its called a 재직 증명서 or 'Certificate of Employment.'
It will have the school name, address, and dates that you worked. Get that and just clip it on to your reference that you already have.
