Im currently finishing a 5 year stint in korea and would like to try another country before going home.

Ive read through a lot of the forums on this site recently, although taiwan or hong kong seem a good place to live for a year, jobs seem a bit few and far between. I also have my age against me (40 - though I look a lot younger...).

So my question is, which of the Asian/South east asian countries would be a good place to go, find a job (that wouldn't be horrendous), wouldn't burn my savings and would accept a 40 y.o. with only a 120hr TEFL?
I also dont want to be messing around trying to sort out CRB checks again and what not.

(I'm looking for more of an experience - one last trot around the world and de-stress after Korean living etc., than money making).

Thanks for your input - sharing your experiences.

If you want to de-stress, China is not the place.

Have you tried Eastern Europe?

If you need to chill, why not try somewhere like Mongolia, Bolivia, or maybe Laos.

Yeah, that sounds ideal. I just havent heard any one saying anything about those places - so nothing to go off.

But, good idea. Ill look into it.

I sort of get the feeling a lot of the places in Eastern Europe want people with a teaching license, but otherwise, it would be a great idea, too.

Thanks for answering.

I hear ESL schools in Ukraine will hire almost any native speaker who shows up at their doors whether they have experience or not.
