Guns didn't really do much for those in the Warsaw Ghetto, without the support of another state insurgencies do not tend to succeed.
Is the US and it's liberty so fragile that it needs to be defended by people with a collection of small arms and limited ammunition? |

Americans are already subjugated, their guns did not save them. When will they use their guns and fight? Never.
Evil has become a lot more sophisticated since Hitler.  |

If you look at the British Empire it was education and communication that led to independence for many (not all) colonies.
The educational reforms in British India of the 19th century, for example, created a cadre of educated middle class professionals who used their knowledge to hit the mighty empire.
They did so not with guns and violence, which could be easily suppressed, but by shaming the colonizers.
Give a savage a gun and he will not pose much of a threat, but give him knowledge and he will be unstoppable. Maybe if Americans spent more time investing in knowledge than guns, their democracy would not need 'saving'. |

Amerika is fiercely anti-knoweldge.
Another factor -- who in a society takes action when tough action must be taken? The men stand up and take action! Women just shop. But the men have been neutralized with feminism (man-hate), and guns won't give them back their balls. |

Give a group of knowledgeable men guns and they will write a constitution, form a republic, outsmart the savages, and send the savages back home.
When the savages are back at home they will regroup, and go forth with guns to find other lands and people to enslave and colonize and murder and plunder.
When the savages return in the following century to the land of the knowledgeable men, the knowledgeable men will outsmart the savages and send them back home again. |
