For those who have taken the CELTA online, is it respected when applying for jobs? |

From what I understand, you still have to do the contact hours after completing the online portion of the CELTA, and you get the same certificate. Pretty sure if there's no teaching portion, it's not a legit CELTA.... |

It would be respected by any place that respects a CELTA. The CELTA is not very well-known in Korea (but that seems to be changing).
It would be more correct to call it a blended then online. Your assignments will be done online (and the input sessions, too - I think), but you'll still have to do your observed teaching practice onsite somewhere. I have been reading recently that that option is no longer available in Korea, unfortunately (though that info could be wrong). |

The on-line CELTA is NOT an on-line course. It is a blended course and still requires that you do part of the course on-site and it still includes the observed and critiqued practicums.
There is NO difference in the certificate between a blended CELTA and one that is done completely in-class.
