China's not going to march on NK, and SK's army, well, the less said about that the better.

Lol. Anyone with half a clue about the strategic situation and the amount of investment and people China has in S. Korea knows what China will do in the outbreak of war.

And do you really think the Korean military is just a bunch of people lying around and drinking soju?

You forgot the circle jerk.

As for the "half a clue" comment, are you now saying you're privy to Chinese political and military strategy? What's the timeline on that?

China has way more money invested in S. Korea, and does $220 billion dollars in trade with SK compared to $6.5 billion with North Korea. The children of party members, the rich, and the upper middle classes come to S. Korea to study. And Chinese are living here and here as tourists. What do you think China's reaction would be to North Korea launching a sneak attack and killing 500 Chinese students in an artillery strike and wrecking trade with its 3rd largest trading partner and sending Chinese stocks plummeting?

China has enough troubles controlling its own country. They're not going to take on the headache of NK. They'll as much as possible leave that to SK.

The number of Chinese is SK is a drop in the bucket.

They arent going to conquer NK and turn it into another province. However a puppet government is possible. At the very least theyd quickly topple the regime vecause the economuc shocks would only exacerbate those control problems you speak of.

The Chinese population nay be small but even 50 dead would stir the Chinese.

How many Chinese have died recently in Africa? Do you see them sending troops? Where's the "quite a stir"?

Of course South Koreans don't care about the North Korean threat. As long as their "watch dogs" are on their soil (U.S. Military) they don't have to care. I'll bet that if the U.S. Military left suddenly, and NK decided to launch an assault, and the U.S. embassy was issuing free visas, half of Gangnam would be banging down their doors in hopes to make it to KTown LA. LOL. Maybe more.

Meh, Americans are the ones who like to make a big deal out of this stuff (the ultra dangerous North Korean threat), even though they have never been to Korea and have no idea what they are talking about. It makes them feel important I guess.

I lived in Korea for quite some time. I have even been into North Korea, via transit over the DMZ. I assure you, the threat is very real. Stay in Gangnam bro. We'll always have a space for you in KTown though should you ever come out that way. LOL.
