I was looking at the "Stuff For Teachers" games section. It seems like a lot to go through. ( I'm lazy ) I need some games that I can play with larger classes with minimal materials, and preferably on the chalkboard or with only speaking and or activity. I teach Primary school grades 3-6. |

How about the game called "Pretend one guy is an active shooter" while the rest of the class hides from the crazed gunman? |

Call in sick, Mon-Wed. Tell your co-teachers the stress is getting to you. Thursday, have the kids write the ABCs 100 times and finish what they didn't complete for homework. Friday, phonics class, have the kids sing the ABCs 10,000 times. What they didn't finish, have them sing for homework. Have your co-teachers write out the singing homework assignment and have the students' parents sign the form to indicate the homework was completed.
Any student who didn't complete the homework or get the parents' signature, have them stand out in the hallway during the next class period and sing, Head and Shoulders, Knees and Toes. |

Do you have access to a TV and conputer in the classroom? If so, download some PPT games from Waygook.org. When I taught elementary school classes of 30 or more students it worked wonders. I put them in teams and they loved it. |

Seoulnate,
That teaching method looks intriguing. Can you give an example of how to apply the jigsaw method to an EFL classroom? |

Have you clicked on the 'IDEA COOKBOOK' link under 'STUFF FOR TEACHERS'? Not a bad place to start. A thorough Internet search might also be in order. |
