In my current apartment, I get lots of mail for some previous tenant (or maybe it is the owner. Some of it looks really important, like speeding tickets, insurance bills, taxes... I take it to the school office and they just throw it away like "not our problem".
Is there anyway to do a "return to sender" so at least the sender knows they have a wrong address and can try some 20th century (phone) or 21st century (email) method of contacting them.
I just know if I were the person not getting such important mail I would want a little more compassion from the receiver than just throwing everything away. Again, the school office has no interest in any of this, won't even check to see if it is the owner's mail.
Does "Return to Sender" work on a Korean letter?
Thanks

Yes, there is. Your apartment might have a mailbox marked
"반송함" (반송 means return to sender). If there is, and you put the mail in that box, it should be picked up and sent back to the sender and marked that it was not able to be delivered.

If there isn't such a box, write "반송" down on a piece of paper and show it to an apartment guard as you give him that mail.
