I had a blueberry pizza at VIPS a couple months back. It was odd. |

My wife came home with a mustard and avacado pizza last week. I was hungry and a little pissed off about that choice. |

I could see cranberry being good as a dessert pizza, Pizza Hut buffet styles, or maybe if you eat the crust last....like a dessert?
But generally I stay away from pizza here.
Been burned (figuratively) too many times. My heart can't take it. |

Korean pizza hut's problem is that they cater to Korean customers. As they should, of course, but it makes the food into a complete abortion. I just want a tasty pepperoni and cheese pizza, but instead, everything has to have crust stuffed with shit, sweet potato, whale sperm, and now cranberries?
Their buffet sucks too. Maybe their new ad campaign shuld say 'at least we're better than Mr Pizza'.
I'll take Pizza Maru over Pizza Hut any day of the week. |

Pizza Hut has always been an abomination, here and back home. But I will agree that its even more of an abomination here.
That being said, a pure dessert pizza with cranberry crust might be fine, but not on a main pizza. And FYI, they have dessert pizza back home too. No one riots and you don't see Italians running to online forums to declare Americans the worst people since Hitler. |

They have a regular pepperoni and cheese pizza without all the extras. It's cheap compared to the other crazy choices they offer. |

But still double or more than it would cost for the same pizza at Pizza School or Pizza Maru. I'll stick with them.
And Steelrails, it seems the only exercise you get is jumping to conclusions. Where in my post did I call Koreans bad people? I just think they have shitty taste in food.

Oh I know. I was exaggerating. If I was serious I would have said those Italians would have said Americans are the worst people since Mussolini and his thugs, not Hitler.
Anyways, for pizza in Korea, its either Papa John's or Monster Pizza. Pizza school is drek for the most part. That pizza with all the noodles on it is intriguing though.
Mr. Pizza- meh. Pizza Alvolo has good ingredients but I can't get past their funky crust. Imsil Cheese- boo. Domino's and Pizza Hut? Garbage.
If anyone has an 이석민 pizza in their neighborhood, now THAT is some decent domestic product. Pricey and rare thought. Closes K-Pizza I've had to back home. Could throw it in a box back home and no one would second guess that it was from the states. |

I found Pizza Alvalo is inconsistent in quality. Depends on the location. Their original location in Yeomchang Dong Seoul is very good. But I've tried another in Incheon where I found they were dilouting the pizza sauce with hot sauce and their pizzas really didn't taste the same. Really hit and miss with those guys. |

Several years ago, I had lunch with a friend at Mr Pizza. We got a decent pizza and 2 cokes for 12,000 won or so. No whale sperm, no sweet fucking potato, no corn. Decent pizza.
Then some years later, they repackaged themselves as 'for women'. Now their food sucks and I won't touch it with a 10 foot pole.

When did you leave Korea? I swear that 'love for women' has been going on for at least 10 years. |

Nailed it.
I had it this week and it was a weird mix (weirder than the usual here). The sweet crust did not fit the rest of the pizza at all. Sausage, beef, shrimp, SQUID , and all mixed with cranberry cream cheese crust? Classic case of too many conflicting ingredients.
Once had a curry pizza here as well; not recommended. I generally like the pizza combinations here though, btw. Not scared of corn on pizza....anymore.
That said, American pizza almost always tastes better, even just a simple cheese n pepperoni. Greasier maybe?
Just realized the only reason I wrote this is because I'm hungry and am procrastinating on homework. |

Yeah, Steel, but if you grew up in the 80s then Pizza Hut was damn good. Back then, it was them and Domino's. Little Caesers started getting big in the late 80s. |

Ugh. I remember those days. Being from Michigan, we had Hungry Howies as well. If you wanted real pizza you had to go downtown and eat it in a restaurant.
Avoid the Noid. |
