That would be true if we were actually solving problems here. But people doing these things are often doing it to put Korea down in order to make themselves feel better in order to compensate for some personal failure in their own life.

If some people on here do bash Korea too much I think it's more likely to come from experiencing this kind of thing on a daily basis

http://smudgem.blogspot.kr/2013/09/why-does-korea-make-us-so-angry.html

rather than a personal failrue in their own life. Unless you see being in a position where you have to take this crap on a regular basis is in itself a failure

It must be thrilling for you to think you are so clever.

Clever is not a word that should ever be used when describing the board mascot. Mundane, tiresome, etc...are more fitting.

Well it seemed like a relevant point, go back to your complaining...

Depends how loudly you complain about it and how long you put up with it I suppose.

It's different in defense than attack. The point in comparing two countries in defense is to show how people are similar and one group of people is no better than another. The point in comparing two countries in attack is to show they are different and one group of people are better than the other. It is also done to draw a parallel to a phenomenon back home that the person, in their froth and foam filled anger and sense of self-righteousness, failed to consider when posting their borderline bigoted rant.

BS! You sound like a 6 year old kid claiming you saw the toy first so it's okay that you snatched it from the other kid's hands.

Typical spoiled little adjjushi mentality.

It would be BS if that's not what happens on a regular basis on these forums. People come on here comparing Korea to back home insisting certain things don't happen back home, people show examples of how it does, and then people complain that they compare Korea to back home.

IF YOU DON'T WANT APOLOGISTS TO COMPARE KOREA TO BACK HOME. STOP COMPARING KOREA TO BACK HOME.

Did you use the bolding to make sure no one would miss that this is an egregious case of the kettle calling the pot black.

Your method of argument is based on making comparisons to the U.S.

Many a post calling out some Korean behavior, spitting, for example, or littering, doesn't use comparisons to make their point. Stop with the dissembling!

Perhaps you are just lost altogether and can't make any sensible comment? Pretty much always the same old same old.

The "same old same old" being that I make sensible intelligent comments, and then the short-bus tards post nonsense for pages and pages. Idea

So, maybe Korea isn't the culprit in Tesco's murmurs of withdrawing from Korea.

I hope not. They are one of the two decent stores left here. The other is Costco. While the story may indeed be true, I have to wonder if the Korean Government is doing all they can to eliminate any foreign competition in the grocery store industry in Korea. Costco, watch you back!

Korea ranks 5th in the World as a country to do business in according to a latest report by the World Bank.

http://m.wsj.com/articles/BL-REB-28752

It can't be all that bad for foreign companies here.
Perhaps the problem is on the Tesco side.

Although the argument on Dave's maybe..
sure what would The World Bank know..

President of the World Bank is of Korean descent. It's a conspiracy.
