Just pointing out how things are Mr. Argumentative. People can dress like slobs, or dress smartly depending on their goals, or lack of goals. |

Yeah I do and though I don't teach English full time anymore I still regard myself as an English teacher which is why I visit Dave's ESL cafe.
You obviously despise English teachers for some bizarre reason, so why don't you go to Korean Sentry where they will lap up everything you post. In fact if you really are a 40 year old white guy from America, then they will love your self loathing diatribes against your own country.

Why take time out of your day to defend him? Is it because he is frequently in agreement with what you write?
He plagues multiple threads with thinly veiled attacks on foreigners and teachers in Korea. You can try to ignore him, but when he plagues multiple threads, it is hard not to engage his incoherent ramblings. |

I have been told I look like Bruce Willis. Not just by any Korean. A taxi driver. When I want to have a stimulating conversation, that's who I talk to. It must be true. I look like an action star.
The hooker than sucked me dry on Saturday said I am hung like a horse and have enough juice to clog a drain. That must also be true. If a taxi driver is that knowledgeable in the land of high IQs, imagine how smart the whores are.

What's really sad is you ARE an English teacher, yet can't write coherent thoughts.
When writing use three paragraph style, or five if you have something complex to say. If you can not do it in five, you don't know what you are talking about, and should not speak (remaining silent would fix most of your problems). As you can see the opening is a summary of what is to come. In this body area we discuss the details. For example in 9th grade my English teacher told the class "KN is the undisputed master of the 3/5 paragraph essays". My English education never really progressed past 9th grade! But at least I learned the important parts.
Then complete with a summary sentence, or short paragraph. Clear communication is important. Respect your audience; don't ramble or flood the reader hoping that more is better. It is not better. |

And if you scroll thru the four pages you will notice NOT ONE person seriously discussed how personal appearance correlates with success in NE Asia.
It was the same on my "Networking = Success" thread, no real interest. |
