South Koreans still have not overcome nationalism, the country-first attitude and the tendency to prioritize economic benefits over truth or ethics.

Would you make twice the money if the result was that you'd be twice as miserable?

With the 2005 article in Science, Hwang was put on a pedestal. Media and politicians united to wax lyrical about Hwang. Drunk on acclamation, Hwang promised to cure a famous singer who was paralyzed from the waist down after a traffic accident.

"He began to gain an image of religious revivalist," Ryu said. "In the past, he was just a scientist with some bluff."

But they could not leave without a letter of recommendation. Without it, no employer or graduate school would accept them. To get one, they had to deliver the results that Hwang wanted, Ryu said.

Its all so typical of how little korean men act the moment they get into power- be they managers, ceos, presidents, or directors. They use their authority only for personal advancement, they act unethically, they try to fuel a personality cult around themselves. And all without having any skill or talent whatsoever. They exist on hype, they are warped by out of control egotism.

Anyone with a basic understanding of psychiatry can see that korean males are usually raised in such a way as to make them suffer narcissistic personality disorder. Thats not a joke, its a clinical reality.

Sorry, this just sounds like more wild man-hatered from you.

The Korean execs I've worked with at Samsung absolutely have skill/talent. Why do so many ESL teachers here act like they are psychologists? That was your undergrad? Masters? Yes or no? If yes why aren't you working in that field? If no why are you commenting on things you know nothing about?

I can imagine the type of work you do with Samsung execs. Don't forget the knee pads! Cool
