Japanese drivers are good drivers. I checked some stats. 3X safer than Korean drivers. |
It's amazing. You walk around the streets of Japan, and you wonder to yourself how the Koreans and the Chinese ended up the way they did - and the Japanese are light years ahead of them. LIGHT YEARS. |
What I like about the Japanese drivers is that they don't race through cross walks with pedestrians in them and they are not obnoxious horn blowers. |

Anyone who is legal to drive in Korea should be able to rent a car.
Insurance should be mandatory for all rental cars and doubly so for Chinese drivers.

Korea will forego the safety part if it brings in an extra WON. Remember the SEWOL. |
So are you saying they shouldnt let Chinese tourists rent cars? Wouldnt that be discrimination? If they did that to Brits or Canadians, would you support it? |

In Korea, Koreans are always discriminating and stereotyping. This is the root of this issue. |

Let the Chinese drive. It couldn't be any worse if they did. Those with enough money to travel to Jeju are the same types of drivers as already in the ROK. |

Koreans are still far better drivers than Chinese. Driving here can drive me nuts at times, but China driving would be more like Russian roulette. |

Japan was a developed country for many years ahead of everyone else. When my parents were growing up, it was the only non white governed country to be an industrialized nation making them an odd fascination until the bubble burst in the early 1990's and prob still up until the 2000's. (Not making any kind of racial statement here. Just observing that they were the first to be developed years before any other Asian country. They were the second richest nation on earth until very recently. In the 1980's, per capita GDP in Japan was higher than America for a time.) |

When I think of safety, the word Chinese doesn't spring to mind. |
