Does anyone have any experience with this visa? Apparently they have 5000 of these every year. I have been trying to go back to Korea for a while (I taught there for 2 years - approx 5 years ago) without having to teach English.

Anyone know anything about this? I know they don't sponsor anything (airfare, rent etc...) but with this visa I'm hoping I'll be able to find non-teaching jobs that can pay for my way around and be able to travel around Korea as well.

Edit: Also how hard is it to get? The requirements seem extremely minimal so I"m not sure how many people apply each year.

It depends on your nationality and age. If your from the States and you're over 30 then you can't get it.

That would be "from the States" (not eligible)
OR
over 30 (and from an eligible country) = not eligible.

The Korean embassy in your home country would have country specific details (it does vary somewhat depending on your country of origin based on reciprocity) since on the H1 visa there is no sponsor (like there is with an E2).
