Twitter is easily the most loathsome form of social media. Just a big frickin' clique of people trying to out-quip each other. Tiresome.

Facebook is the most loathsome form of social media. It's the vampire squid of social media, trying to wrap everyone in its tentacles and suck out their information. Those already entrapped by it often become its horrible disciples, encouraging others to make accounts in order to "keep in touch," as if e-mail and telephones weren't enough for that. Twitter is terrible as well, but its terribleness is far easier to simply ignore. Even its worst element, the demand that one write one's thought out in a hundred some characters or less, doesn't corrupt modern dialogue so much as reflect it.

Touché.

Facebook wasn't always like this though. Or at least wasn't so openly like this. My feed has become a slew of click-bait articles and inane motivational speeches interspersed with the occasional cut-and-paste argument over religion or feminism. It used to actually just be the goings-on of a few friends and family in far-off places. Now it looks like 1950s propaganda.

I don't use twitter for the reason of idiots. I use facebook. I joined it after coming to Korea and used it to keep in touch and post pics of here. Now it becomes a palce to argue I guess. Maybe I do it too a bit on my own page. But ettiquitte requires me to not go on other people's pages though. I think you can say what you want on your page, but it's poor taste to go on others page.

As for twitter, what's up with those bat shit crazy feminists harassing that scientist who wore a shirt that a girl gave him? What's the big deal. It was bad fashion. Almost had me wanting to join twitter and tell these folks to go eff themselves. Yeah, those sites seem to breed a lot of hatred from trolls and losers with no life.

At some time...please write a book.
You have a genuine talent with words.
