I've noticed that I can't click on any articles when I visit yahoo's homepage. Even my home computer won't allow me to see any articles unless I connect to my VPN. Has anyone else experienced this? Could this be related with the Black Friday sales going on in America?

Could be a lot to do with us being in a communist country.

I can't get any of my porn sites to work. I am having withdrawals from midget porn.

All of my games got blocked. English version of candy crush blocked, Korean version a-o-k.

I have had the same problem since last night. I'm unable to open seemingly innocuous news stories on Yahoo.

Yea, I thought it was just the work computers being blocked, but it's happening at home as well. I can connect to the news stories on my phone still, so that is weird.

Thanks for posting on this, I was curious too. Yahoo news has been blocked for me since last Thurday. It works for VPNs, but not from my cable service. The hardest part was admitting that I read yahoo news. Maybe they are just trying to block Black Friday shopping and got carried away.

I am certainly not very knowledgeable about the internet at all, but I dont think this is an action to "block" yahoo news. If that were the case, wouldn't we get the Korean warning page, rather than the "server not found/page not found" page?

I think it has something to do with the scripts in the address or on the homepage.. If clicked a story from the front page, and like others..failed to load. I googled the same story, and found the link to the story that originates on the Yahoo Tech page..where it loaded perfectly.

Not sure if that makes any sense, but just putting it out there that it doesnt appear there is some agenda to block the stories/articles.

The Korean government have made concerted efforts to prevent children accessing grumble videos. They'll have to wait until they are old enough to visit the rub 'n' tug joint on the corner.

Btw, I highly recommend the VPN Tunnel Bear. Very cheap and good connectivity. It's what I use when I need to look at 'news' sites...

I thought it didn't make sense as well, since like you, I was able to access the stories by Googling them. However, if I connect to my VPN and then go through Yahoo to click on the articles, I am able to access them again. Therefore, it isn't a script problem I would think and I have tried Explorer, Chrome, and Firefox. The funny thing is that I can still access the articles on my smart phone.

What is this 'yahoo news' you speak of?

Is that some new age slang for porn?

I had some difficulty getting Yahoo on Saturday but I just figured it was a local server problem. Yahoo seems a little slow from time to time in Korea, for whatever reasons.
