Can anyone point out, or connect the dots leading up to the downfall of this site?

Is/was it moderators, posters (those who left/joined), topics?

Just curious.

I used to follow this site some years ago...posters come and go.

I remember spliff, as an example. He was cool.

The mods got pretty heavy handed with threads for a while.
And the mod laws got really strict...god like. Don't question the mods.
There have always been trolls, but for some reason the mods allow/ed them to have their way. And instead of just deleting their posts, they deleted the threads.

Deleting entire threads was the beginning of the end...as I see it.
Some posters put a lot of thought into some of those threads, and to see them disappear one after another was discouraging.
No explanations given....just gone.
Seems like I had more posts deleted in those threads than I have post counts...even now.
I hardly posted at all for years due to that. Many just gave up and went to other sites.

Lots of other reasons, but that was one of them.
Oh yeah...and the php error thing...whew that was and sometimes still is annoying.

Dave...please upgrade the site.

Ok...I see.

Well....for the sake of entertainment, can you recall the useful/productive, trolls, devil's advocates, political nut posters, from the past?

Anyone can chime in on this. I am only curious.

Jongno Guru, Kangnam Dragon, Hojucandy, Ilsanman, Cheonmunka, Waterbaby, Tiger Beer, those guys ring a bell that were decent or useful.

Some are memorable for a specific reason. Real Reality did nothing but post URLs.

Trolls/Apologists: Steve McGarrett, Jinju, Homer, Ddeubal

Facebook.
Every city in Korea has multiple facebook forums.
They are infinitely more popular than this one or waygook.

Probably not for some people here. They like to vent and be anonymous.
