Not if he doesn't name names. |
No: it is simply if the person is recognizable from the description given. Could the average unconnected person figure out who it is? That would be enough to endanger the case as well as the one under investigation.
So if next week the newspapers carry a story about a teacher at XYZ school then most people will safely assume that this thread is concerning the same matter. All it takes is for someone on facebook who knows the name of the teacher at the school to post something and there you have it: lives and a schools reputation are already ruined, before anyone has even been found guilty.
At least that's the law in advanced countries. in Korea however if you're foreign, and have been accused of the slightest infraction by a Korean, then its ok for the national media to instantly print your full name, home address and email, as well as put posters about you in your hometown in the west.
If you're Korean though you can be a multiple axe murderer and they'll throw a bag over your head and refer to you as "someone by the name of kim". |

Thats why you just give details of what happened and not naming schools or people. You also put it in the form of a question- "Is it inappropriate for a teacher to do X?"
As far as being foreign, the Korean media routinely uses "Mr. A" and "Mr. M" for foreigners in its English reporting when it comes to criminal incidents. Anyone who has ever read a Korean newspaper knows this. Note, this doesn't always apply to people in the public eye, who obviously have a different standard. |

OP is seriously annoying. She gives an extremely vague description of what happened then asks for specific advice, then gets snippy with posters who ask her to be more specific.
Why even post here at all if you're unwilling to explain what actually happened? |

Some possibilities:
1. OP wants to display how righteous she is.
2. OP thinks any physical contact with students (shoulder rubs, holding hands, etc) is tantamount to sexual assault.
3. OP wants to feel better about herself after disgracing some guy on flimsy grounds to steal his job.
4. OP is a troll looking to stir up dirt on foreign teachers.
5. OP actually saw something despicable. I doubt it though. |

Anyway, stranger things have been reportedly seen in Korea by posters on this board. Remember when someone swore they had seen Big Foot out in a rice field somewhere. |
That particular gem of a poster was Kentucker4. He also posted that his Korean father in law was in the Korean mafia and he was after him. I know he had more stories but I can't remember them right now. |
