Yes, I am well aware of the many visa run posts, and I've already done the jaunt to Fukuoka. My question is this: what is the best way to couple my visa run with a trip to Disneyland? (because I just want to go to Japan...see Tokyo...and enjoy Disneyland dangit!)
A. Get it all done in Fukuoka first then bus it/train it to Tokyo, and leave from there? Ferry round-trip?
B. Just get it all done in Tokyo? I've heard it is a bit of a jaunt to the embassy...
My concern is the turn-around time. I know the embassies are closed Christmas, and at least in Fukuoka they are going on holiday at the closure of the 26th (which means probably Tokyo as well). I have the whole week of Christmas to get all of this done. I was planning on heading out Sunday evening (21st) and returning to Seoul the following Saturday (27th).
I know where the intercity bus station/train stations are in Fukuoka. Is the bus transportation similar/better than the transportation in Korea?
Ideas? Recommendations? |

You need 4 "WORKING DAYS" to get your visa processed and I don't think you have 4 work days between the 21st and 27th.
Enjoy the trip to Dizzy-land (get 90 days as a tourist on your return) and you can do your visa run in February when the students are out of school.

Why are people still doing visa runs? Surely the D-10 makes them unnecessary. |

Unless you have a unique situation like mine, where it is necessary due to a passive aggressive former employer screwing you over.
I've had a D-10 too as well.
ttompatz- I just saw the emperor's b-day is on the 23rd. Gah! Thanks again (as usual). ^^ |
