To me, TCU is out.
ZERO wins vs top 25 teams. Lost to Baylor
So we have ohio st or baylor.
Tough one, but im goin ohio st.
11 staight wins, 8 vs teams with winning records.
Baylor beat tcu but gave up 58pts!!!! Could they compete with bama? No. Could ohio st? I think so.

Not really clear from your post quoted below ...

Missouri's defense might hold or it might not. It's offense, well, we have no clue what they will do in this game. This is one of the strangest teams I've ever seen. They win games in completely different ways. The only consistency is their defensive line. However, even if they do find a way to get a win against Alabama, their chances of getting into the playoffs are not good.

If Georgia State wins, it's over for FSU. But even Georgia State needs a lot to happen to get into the playoffs. If Arizona wins, then they have to be in, regardless of what other teams do. I think Arizona has the most to play for this weekend.

You got me. And to think, that's where I went to school, too.

I went to UCLA.

Roughly two hours left until they announce the four playoff teams. In a poll of about 46 ESPN's analysts, reporters and Insiders, only one omitted FSU. The only reason I think this is important is that hopefully it will give the committee some cover against any criticism they will get from fans of teams left out. Let's face it - this is not a perfect system, and at least two, maybe three, deserving teams will get screwed.

If FSU is left out, but then go on to play in and win the next best bowl game, they can at least say no one ever took their championship away from them on the field.

http://espn.go.com/college-football/story/_/id/11991216/college-football-playoff-experts-predictions

By the way, the one guy who left out FSU originally left out Oregon as well, but flipped flopped.

Bama vs OhioST
Oregon VS FSU

good matchups!!!
Everyone wants to see Bama and Oregon, and I do too!
Both opened as over 7pt favorites. FSU's luck might run out here and Bama could be too much for a 3rd string QB.

DUCKS VS BAMA in the title game!

Cool fact: The Seminoles have been favored in 50 consecutive games, so this breaks that string. Opening line has them as 8.5 underdogs, but I would definitely take the points and that bet. The Seminoles' running game has been getting better and better, taking pressure off of Winston. In fact, they may have another future Heisman winner in freshman Dalvin Cook, who rushed for 177 yards - 220 yards from scrimmage - in Saturday's game.

I was impressed with Cook too, more than Winston actually.
I may be wrong, but I don't think Winston is that good!!
Mariota and the Ducks are streaky, so a line is always hard. I mean, they could (and often do) score 21-28 points in one quarter. So, even if say, they are down a FG going into the 4th qtr, they could easily win by 3 TDs. That's the crazy part about the ducks.

Maybe you are using the term "that good" in a relative way. Because I think even haters would have to agree that a quarterback who a)throws for 4,057 passing yards and 40 passing touchdowns in his freshman season, b)leads his team down the field on a final drive with time running out to win a national championship, and c)has never lost a game in two full seasons is at the very least "pretty good."

I know some people think that he has regressed this year, and yes, his interceptions are way up as he tries to force a lot of throws. But I think a case could actually be made that staying undefeated is more impressive this year than last, when he had two more veteran receivers to go along with Rashad Green. The three of them combined for 3072 yards. This year, other than Green and TE Nick O'leary, there is very little experience in the receiving corps. I wish more people would take that into account.

On a related note, "The playoff committee did Tampa Bay Bucs general manager Jason Licht a huge favor. Now to personally scout his next quarterback, Licht can attend the Rose Bowl and watch Oregon quarterback Marcus Mariota and Florida State's Jameis Winston at the same time in one game."

The Yucks have a good chance of having the first pick in the draft. They had a chance to pick Manziel last year and passed, which I think was a huge mistake.

Ray of hope for No5 and 6: OSU No2 QB had altercation wit' his woman, police was called in. That's a good enough excuse for Texas teams to advocate that integrity-lacking-OSU should be bowl-ineligible immediately. TCU and Baylor boosters: get to work! Laughing

While they're at it, have a go at Florida State too. Missouri got rid of DGB, who was their best player and it meant a lot to their season this
year. What good did this integrity do? It made many fans in the SEC say that Missouri doesn't belong in their conference.

More good news for Texas teams: Nick Saban's daughter back in court for tweeter terrorism and beating up her sorority sister! TCU and Baylor and all 'bama haters: demand that all 'bama results from August 2010 be vacated. NCAAF can't tolerate this Sandersky-ness. Laughing

Yeah, I have to agree with the conventional wisdom I have been hearing that even though the process kind of sucked the committee actually did end up giving us some pretty good match-ups. Not only that, but a week later we will get to see who will be the last team standing. As a college football fan, you can't ask for much more than that.

Not really a surprise, but still noteworthy:

Will Muschamp returns to Auburn as DC
http://espn.go.com/college-football/story/_/id/12021731/will-muschamp-agreed-become-auburn-tigers-defensive-coordinator

"The price for good defense in college football is skyrocketing, especially in this era of offense being played at breakneck pace and 57 FBS teams averaging more than 30 points per game this season.

It’s the reason Auburn went out and made one of Smart’s best friends, former Florida coach Will Muschamp, the highest-paid coordinator (offense or defense) in college football. Muschamp’s blockbuster deal will pay him in excess of $1.6 million per year, which according to USA Today’s recent study, is more than at least 60 FBS head coaches earned this season.

That’s some serious dough to be paying a coordinator, but Auburn is serious about establishing the kind of identity on defense that it has on offense under Gus Malzahn."

Mean while on the NFL front: who is sad that THE question has been finally answered? Johnny Manziel stinks in the pocket and got shut out in his first start. (it was a defensive battle to be fair) Will have to wait for another week for the 'money-sign'. $Laughing$

Actually, we got to see the money sign in this game, albeit by the Bengals ....
