I am not currently in Korea.

I signed a contract and applied for a visa for a job that starts in early January. During this process, I was offered a really good job opportunity in my country and I am planning on accepting it. If I tell the school that I am not longer interested in the position now that I have already signed a contract and gotten my visa, is there anything the school could do against me? I know that there would be issues with applying for a new visa in the future but with this new job, I don't think I will attempt to apply for another teaching job in Korea again, so I'm not too worried about having to apply for another job/visa there. I'd just want to make sure I'm still able to visit as a tourist, if the school can take any legal action against me, etc.

Thanks in advance. I know it's a pretty crappy thing to do to the school, but oh well.

Not in Korea and not coming to Korea for the next year then there are NO legal consequences to worry about.

It will NOT affect your visiting as a tourist at any future time.
