Seems like I've been buying filtered water in those big blue plastic bottles forever. And was thinking about buying a water filter like the Melitta charcoal water filter. Anyone have any experience with these? Are they worth the money? Not looking to put a water filter system in as I don't own the house, but rather the pitcher style water filters. |

dont know about that one, but have been using brita for years here in korea.
You can get the pitcher and filters in most of the big markets like emart and homeplus. |

Ya sorry I was talking about the Brita pitchers, Melitta makes coffee machines
I was thinking along the lines of a Korean manufacturer since after looking the filters are readily available everywhere and of course they are cheaper.
Do you figure they are better than buying the big blue bottles of filtered water?

If only those big blue jugs were filtered water.
Don't get me wrong, some might be good but most of them have questionable origin. This field is very lightly regulated and companies take advantage of this. Basically they can sell tap water as mineral water.
So yes, you are better off with a filter system for yourself. |
