Does anyone have experience working with Korean companies in sales, marketing, HR, PR, etc departments? Are recent grads who can't speak Korean completely shut out of the corporate world? I'm trying to think of ways to make the transition after teaching in Korea, and would be interested in working for a Korean company for free just to get relevant experience. |

it can be done. one of my best friends works at coex doing their global marketing (friend is from canada) and another canadian friend does pr at a game company and neither of them speak korean fluently.
it all depends on your background and skillset as well as networking and just being at the right place at the right time. there are other foreigners who are active on daves who work in corporate korea as well, but not in the fields you stated. i am one of those foreigners and if you have any questions feel free to pm me. |
