what is the best Homeplus for beer selection in Seoul? What is the nearest train station, on what line?
Thanks |

Ok,
I will try again.
what is the biggest Homeplus you know, and also near a train station in Seoul?
When I have been in Seoul I can find E-mart but not Homeplus.
Thanks. |

Largest one? Probably the one near Hagye station in Nowon, but I am not sure why you would specifically travel up to that one to get beer, E-mart has a similar selection, or better at a few locations (dongdaemun) if you ask me.
Also, if you are going to travel to Seoul to buy beer, why not just go to Itaewon and get a better selection of bottled stuff at better prices? |

Ok,
what store in Itaewon do you recommend?
I thought that Homeplus would have British beer due to its association with Tesco. So that is what I was looking for, as well as other things from Britain. |

I don't remember any British beer at the Home Plus near my house. They do have some good deals on beer, including 5 500 ml cans of German wheat beer for 10,000 won. Emart has generic German beers for around 1,590 won per 500 ml can. But, as for English beer, the mind is blank. I have seen Dutch, Spanish, Czech, Mexican and Australian but not English.
Good luck! |

Once upon a time, Homeplus used to stock Tesco's lager and extra strong lager [was really a re-packaged Belgian beer, Amstel, maybe?].
Homeplus has Old Speckled Hen. Expensive but a nice treat. Think, I've also seen Newcastle Brown Ale still there.
Still, 10,000 for 5 bottles of Guinness is alright. |
