| When I asked does it work, I mean you get new hair. Or does it just helps you to keep what you still have? |

It works for most people but not all. I think it works for 85% of the population or something like that. Of those that it works for, most will just see a stoppage in loss, with very minor gains. A small portion will see significant regrowth.
For myself, it stopped the loss, and I saw minor regrowth. I started taking it fairly early into my hair loss so I am happy with it just stopping the loss. If I already had significant I don't think I would take it due to the serious side effects. |

I had pretty significant regrowth, for what it's worth (thankfully). These days nobody knows that my hair is thinning. |

| My GP told me that it works for some and not for others. It's a crap shot. I took proscar about 10 years ago or so for many months. It helped with getting more hair on my head. My hair seems fine now and of course may try it again in the distant future. Vitamin E may also help. |
