This comes up a lot on here. Maybe it's time for a poll to try and settle it. As long as people are honest we should get a good idea of how accurate your observation is |
Often girls will do all they can to hide their past. And as a foreigner it's pretty hard to know about it. Koreans often can tell pretty fast how educated, or her social-economic status based on behavior, and language (just like we can in English). |

Sometimes, but I had worked in elementary schools in the past where some women expressed interest. Younger women seem more interested in you, while the older ones seem more interested in position and to this day will brag about their husband's position or job, never about him. |

I was in a serious relationship with a Thai girl for 7 and half months. Her family was previously rich before her father suffered from a brain aneurysm although he has mostly recovered since then... or at least that was what I was told. Anyways, she is a very beautiful girl and more often than not was mindful about not expecting everything to extravagant, but I ultimately broke up with her.
Although she was nice most of the time, she had an incredible temper, and all too often, she could not handle being alone because as I eventually learned that she "sees ghosts". I figure that she must have a bipolar disorder or some very mild form of schizophrenia. Anyways, after we had an argument about something related to a friend she did not like, the red line suddenly arrived when she pointed a large kitchen cutting knife at me and later threatened to kill herself or my cat. That was when I decided I had to absolutely break up with her. Of course, she has begged me to change my mind even up even until now months after I broke up with her.
Actually, her father warned me that she has an incredible temper. I should have listened and thought more carefully about what he said! |

Given that most western foreigners speak little to no Korean most couples will communicate in English which means the girl will have done posh hagwons, overseas studies, company job, fancies being more than a housewife ect....
Johnny English teacher is very unlikely to hookup with the heiress to the Samsung fortune or one of those trust fund chicks who skirt around Gangnam with the national debt of a small South American country on their credit cards. But its not as if they are having to seduce the adjuma who comes in to clean the toilets either. |

That's convenient because the poll contradicts what you said about most Korean women with foreigners being on the bottom of the social scale. Tell us where you get your more reliable stats from. |

Nope.
I have a bunch of friends who have married Koreans and most of their wives are English teachers. Most work in hagwons but some work in schools. Another friend's wife doesn't work at all, but her family paid for the apartment and gave them a nice car.
Your comment is a steaming pile of nonsense, usually endorsed by chauvinistic bigots . It's also usually followed with the "the majority of Korean women with foreigners in Korea are ugly and undesirable to Korean men". |
