Katalli Na says she would go as far as marrying for a visa as a last resort.
If I cannot find a proper job there I am just going to marry the first Korean that I am seeing “If I cannot a find a proper job there I am just going to marry the first Korean that I am seeing. Everybody is saying that. That is your only chance, just marry a Korean.” |

She was in Seoul where Koreans tend to be the most open minded and cosmopolitan. Of course, it's easier to get a positive impression of a country when you're on holiday and don't have to deal with the stresses of working. Being a young white female means she probably got plenty of positive attention from Koreans. |

She admitted to taking illegal work in a kindergarden while claiming to be from the US. She also says she likes spicy food and she is pretty. Yep, she fits right in. |

How could you omit this part:

There is only one thing that Katalli Na did not like about Korea. Some Korean males attitude toward Western girls was unappealing for her.
“Whenever I was having a date, (some) guys think foreign girls, Westerners they call them, are easy. So they’re not treating us the same way that they are treating the Korean (girls). It was not like all the time of course, just some times with some people.” |

It's not that some Korean males think western women are easy. Many Korean men think western women in Korea are poor and lonely and therefore more likely to be easy. |

I mean, to each their own, but I get the feeling that she never passed Go in K-drama Honeymoon Phase Monopoly. |

The thing she doesn't like about Korea is the reality of what it is. If she marries a Korean guy her outlook on Korea will most likely change, especially if she has a tough mother-in-law. If she comes here and works illegally for an extended time, she will run into a lot of unforeseen headaches. If she comes here on an Entertainment Visa, the men definitely are going to be treating her like a second class prostitute, because that's what she will basically be.
Many countries/cities are fun to fantasize about or spend some vacation time in because the everyday reality of the place can be avoided. Cambodia is a fun place to visit but I wouldn't want to be the average citizen there. I think Miss Romania has here head up her rump. |

The girl thought Dracula was American so she obviously isn't too well-endowed in the top story. |

Hardly. I'm not sure if even Koreans would consider her pretty. She would perhaps look good standing next to an obese Western teacher,...but only then. |

The person who set her up for the 3 days of illegal work said she was pretty and for her to claim to be from the US, and that was good enough. She likes the cunning, lying, deceitful ways. |

I've always suspected this. Now the truth is out. |

I left behind my soul in Korea too. Not renewing my contract was a serious mistake for me. |
