Sorry the only wildlife I've seen are hornets that require plugging up every hole in an apartment. Actually I live in a rural area too. |

Sorry? no need for that~ wasps are a problem. I've seen a wasp nest under
the eave of a Korean house that can easily hold a newborn. Then I've also
seem them emerge from the cracks of bedrock and under trunks of trees. No
telling where the nest is...I recommend a careful look around the home and
hills and/or get a professional to help. Korean wasps range from the size of
a large ant to the dangerous Asian wasps.
Little story, during a field training exercise here in '93 my squad was in file
formation hiking up a hill when suddenly a soldier began screaming (she was
female), ran by us and throwing off her gear, up in the air as we chased her
catching said gear as it came raining down until we got back to our hummers.
It wasn't until then we saw as she lifted the back of her shirt that a tiny
wasp fell out and she had 3-4 wasp stings. I felt bad, but it was rather
comical when all was said and done.
But seriously, good luck with that and have it checked out. I'm having an
issue with mosquitoes and how they 'infiltrate' my apartment. Gotta be a
water source I'm not finding or poor seal on my windows. It was really
bad last fall. |

We were shooting tank gunnery near Pocheon about 5 years back. There are lots of wild animals that run around inside the range. Plenty of deer and wild boar. Anyway, we were shooting gunnery and the commander engaged a target at the same time an unsuspecting deer came into the picture. That tank round split it in half, looked exactly like the scene in Terminator 2 when the robot's head was split in half.

Saw the Siberian weasel in South East Seoul running across the road. Thought I was tripping. Size of cat, tail and gait like squirrel. Seen pheasants, loads of squirrels and chipmunks in the area too, not to mention other birds and rats. Usually near the green belts but not necessarily in them. Seen loads of other critters and creatures in in and aroudn the hills and green belts. Snakes, pigs, deer, frogs, owls, bats, etc. |

I have seen a few wee beasties when I was in Korea. A pair of raccoon dogs, an eagle owl, many water dear, woodpeckers, and lots of cool fish. |
