Your milage may vary.

No one has said jack to my wife and I on the street - but my daughter has experienced more. It's often just luck of the draw.

Not sure how people can marry a Korean girl and then choose to live there. I mean racism against foreigners is bad enough, but to bring such insults upon somebody you love is kind of unfair imo

I'm starting to agree with this, and it's making me hesitant to get married to my long term girlfriend. It makes me even more reluctant to have kids here.

The school should do everything possible to make sure this teacher never teaches again.

Good Lord. Korean comes into your home and wants you to stow your kitty cats? What did this person think was going to happen? Wait, let me guess. She was afraid of being mauled to death?

Yep. AND, wanted to be paid, too???!!!!???

I want a Maine Coon, or a Norwegian Forest cat. They are fluffy and awesome looking. I've heard that both of those breeds are extremely smart kittahs.

I had a Norwegian Forest Cat for 14 years. Very friendly lap cat. Always wanted to cuddle.

Agreed -- I wonder who the parents are. I think a lot of us wonder what really happened there.

Stop embarrassing yourself. It gets really awkward when you try to be funny.

Steelrails just had his say to derail another thread.

What's the point?

Nobody's ever blatantly said that to me, but they definitely mean that when they do stuff like call her a bitch (under their breath), miguk-lover, shoulder barge her on purpose, talk down to her when she's with me, give hostile stares, etc etc.

It was only one time and we were out in a country side town, but she has gotten the passive aggressive insults while at bars.

In all seriousness, what is your opinion on this? Disgraceful, isn't it?

In all seriousness, I think 'Captain Corea' should donate his forum name and avatar to 'steelrails' for his services to the Korean nation, and it would suit him down to the ground. 'Captain Corea' can have a new username - I don't know - Clark Kim or something like that.

not sure if anyone else read the korean article, but the teacher actually punished the student for not eating kimchi. She made the class call the student idiot (babo) 3 times.

also there is a new law in place where teachers will get immediately fired for this type of behavior. the law wasn't in place when the incident occurred, hence the 3 million won fine

To the lady, obviously. To 'Korea'? No. I don't blame 'Korea' for the actions of one person, especially when the prosecutors were trying to get a sentence against her that would bar her from teaching.
