I just moved to a new place and I've got roaches. I came in a few days before I actually moved and saw one, so I came in the next day and sprayed the place down.... emptied a can of bug spray, and then came in the next day and dead roaches everywhere. I swept them up, and repeated the process. Every day until I moved in. Less and less roaches every time... but still, roaches. I've lived here for a few days now, and I've got traps set up, but I'm still seeing roaches on a daily basis... and the grossest thing is that they are getting into my refrigerator. I figured if I didn't leave food out, always put it in in the fridge, I would be okay... but a few times I've opened the fridge and there have been roaches INSIDE... like, walking along the seal , or on the shelves. Not big ones, but still... INSIDE my fridge! So I need to get them gone. Help! Any exterminator numbers? Any advice? Help! |

The most renowned company at national level is CESCO, who serves residences as well as business properties. Although service costs depend on the floor area, you might need to expect close to 200k Won for the initial work on a typical apartment larger than 10-pyong but smaller than 30-pyong.
Their service hotline is 1588-1119, but naturally you'd need a Korean interpreter. They also accept inquiries and request for diagnosis/quotes online at http://www.cesco.co.kr/Cesco/support/freeEstimateNew.aspx. |

If you leave traps out you will be roach-free within 2 months.
You have to give it 6 weeks to kill off the second generation of hatchlings. |

Question about the traps then... I just hate roaches so much that I can't help but spray when I see them... I put the traps in places where I've seen them (under and behind the fridge) and places where I think they might hide (corners, behind cupboards, etc...), but I've also been spraying in those places, and so I'm wondering if the spray might be undermining the traps ie: making the area around the traps smell bad to the roaches. Should I try and not spray? |

I just want to add to the above advice that you may also want to ask the landlord for a new refrigerator, because that one must have defective door seals. Either that or the roaches are taking performance enhancing drugs. |

Yeah. Don't spray on the traps at all.
Don't forget to put traps under the sink area and under the washing machine. After about a week 95% of the roaches will be dead, its just a matter of sweeping them up and leaving the traps out to kill off any remaining ones. |

Screw it. Call the exterminator and sleep in a hotel for a few days. Yuck! I sure did live in some old dingy places back in the day. But I constantly cleaned and sprayed near the entrances to keep the bugs out. |

Big ones are better. Little ones are what indicate that the place is filthy. |

I don't know what kind of place you live in .
If you live in a one-room , or villa or even an apartment , and
you put traps or spray or clean ,there is also the possibility that
the roaches are coming from your neighbor's house .
In this case you will just have to move . seriously ! |
