Absolutely not. On their official blog it clearly states up to 30 times up to 30,000 won. I also used it a few times and my bill was always 0 on my same account |

Sorry to keep on with the questions...
I just registered and installed the Uber app.
On the first page (where you put the pin on your current location) there are two bottom links for "fare estimate" and "Promo code".
To use the free ride, I don't have to put in anything into promo code, do I?
And another question.
When the ride is complete, cash never changes hands with uber right? You just get out of the car, click the "pay" button in the uber app, and it is all done, right? Except in this case the "pay" would be 000.
Sorry for the questions, just a bit nervous before trying this out. |

Hey Drew
No problem. Don't make the same mistake as my buddy. He ordered the regular taxi and NOT the uberX taxi. Where you put the pin of your location make sure to slide it to the LEFT so that you request a uberX taxi.
No money exchanges hands, and assuming you read the links I posted on the first page. You should see a 10,000 credit when you click on "payments"
It will not use up your credit until AFTER you use your 30 rides or when the promo ends as long as you make sure to only request uberX taxis |

Thanks Chris,
OK great, so no need to enter anything in the "promo code" field.
I wonder if the driver get's paid when people do these free rides... I'd hate to get out of the car and stiff the driver.
Can't wait to try this soon. |

UberX died yesterday. Another American company brought to it's knees by Korean bureaucracy. |
