Suntory is an excellent Japanese beer. Can be pricy but GS or 711 will often have four tall boys for 10,000won. Can't beat that. The other one to look out for is Pislner Urquell. Great taste IF it is on sale.
Most Korean beers are just crappy lagers. Queen's Ale is an exception. Hard to find nowadays but it is by far and away the best Korean beer you can find in the shops. Homeplus Express used to carry 7brau IPA but I haven't seen that in ages.
Unlike the olden days there are plenty of fantastic beer options in Korea now. Emart has a fantastic selection (not all branches I have noticed). If you are willing to pay for it you really can't complain about beer options in Korea anymore. Way more options than my local cold beer and wine store in Canada anyway. |

| Agree with you on the urquell. It's become my first choice at the supermarket. Only had a few cans of suntory but it seemed a bit too sweet. |
