While not as visual "stimulating" for people watching as some countries, Korea as one great thing going for it.

The weirdness the people.

Koreans do some of the strangest things of any country I've been in.

And I've been in a more than a few.

I'm a people watcher too. Apparently when I was a baby my mom would often take me to the window to mellow me out and I would stop whining. My favourite thing to do is go to a cafe in Gangnam or Myongdong or somewhere I can sit outside and study while watching the people go by, because I know they are watching me as well and I often see people I know walk by. My least favourite form of study involves sitting in a room by myself, a library, or a coffee shop with no customers whatsoever.
Actually people watching is listed as one of my interests.

My favourite spots are the window seats of the Thai or Greek restaurants in Hongdae, they're one floor up so you get a good view and that street always has a lot of foot traffic.

I saw a guy beat up a mascot there the other day, the korean punks hanging around the park, the new street styles, it's a good spot.

I wish they had a Greek restuarant in Korea back in 1996-99.

The crowds make it a strange place. But I agree that it's interesting to see more variety of people. Perhaps Itaewon?
