|
|
I 100% know what weed smells like because in England, where I am from, people smoke it in Camden and in the parks A LOT and as soon as I smelt it I knew it was weed.
I moved into my gorgeous apartment in Gangnam 3 weeks ago and it did not smell like weed at all. I live on the 2nd floor of the villa and someone on the 1st floor is doing something with weed because I can smell it specifically in th evenings of some days.
It is not a constant lingering smell, more like a specific sharp smell at certain times of certain days. What should I do? Tell the building owner? But what would that ajhushi do? Or should I knock on all the doors and tell them to stop? I've only just moved in and I get the feeling that other people can smell it but they just don't know what it is because they have never smelt it before... |

Probably not weed. There's a type of tobacco sold here that smells exactly like it. |

Once accusing someone, everyone in the building might know who the accuser is. |

I get cigarette smoke drifting in my apartment during the summer when everyone leaves their windows open. Drives me batty. Fits of rage, really. Left a note in the elevator (in Korean, of course). Didn't help any.
But weed? IDK. The smell's never really offended me like cigarette smoke. I only wish I had your neighbors instead of mine. I'd be a lot more mellow. |

Be careful. There are some traditional herbs that are out there that smell rather similar. They are not weed though. You could be bringing a world of hurt upon yourself if you are not correct. |

It's mugwort that you're smelling.
Welcome to Korea.

There is something here that smells exactly like it. I catch whiffs periodically walking down the street usually in the covered market where they sell all the local produce. It's also usually way too strong to be someone smoking up unless they are really, really going at it. |

That's Korean culture. Unless it's part of your group. |

Sanbon Station has these weed trees and I'd actually figured out what they are but I can't for the life of me remember which tree it is. Isn't mugwort more of a bush? |
